Hello. Welcome to Steve Campbell Creations where I highlight my creative journey in art, writing, book publishing, behind-the-scenes looks at my creative process, and more.

I have been blogging at WordPress since February 2011, first as a blogger of my art, then as a blogger of my writing, and now as a blogger of both.

My ART: Wildlife and Landscapes

Most of my art consists of wildlife and landscape paintings and photography. I enjoy painting plein air, and I love painting light and shadow in nature. I find nature endlessly inspirational.

My ART: Comic Strips

I love to laugh, which is why I was a cartoonist during twenty-five years of my life. All the great cartoonists look at life through a humorist’s lens, and I followed in their footsteps, laughing at life all the way.

My WRITING and BOOKS: Poetry and Rural Fantasy

I write my poems from an inquisitive approach, breaking down my observations and discoveries into free-style verses of commentary that I call Naked Poetry, a term taken from the poetry book with the same name, edited by Stephen Berg and Robert Mezey.

My Rural Fantasy stories and books feature a fictional Pennsylvania town called Ridgewood. The young adult ones feature a struggling teen witch named Vree Erickson who lives on Myers Ridge, an eerie and unique part of Ridgewood. I pen these fantasy tales under the name Steven Leo Campbell and publish them at Amazon.
