Sometime at the end of October and the first of November of last year, Microsoft made a major automatic update to their Windows 11 program that crippled my two-year-old laptop and left it limping into December and the first couple weeks of January until it crashed and died. That left me with my phone to keep abreast of my WordPress site while I shopped around for a new computer. The major drawback of using my phone is its tiny screen, so I put a large screen monitor at the top of my shopping list.
I chose a desktop computer over a laptop this time, which I’m convinced will hold up better over the years. Luckily, I backed up my files and programs (and was seriously surprised at how many writing and art files I’ve saved since my first venture into computers in 1988) and was up and running quicker than I expected.
And now, voila! … I’m back on track with posting again at WordPress and working on my writing projects for 2024. Unfortunately, the downtime kept me from finishing all the redecorating plans for this blog. Hopefully, I’ll finish that project before the end of February. Meanwhile, it’s good to be back.
Thanks for joining me today.
Have a great day and a productive future in whatever your ventures may be.

Thanks. I’m glad I kept backups, too. I guess I’m guilty of being a digital hoarder 😁, but it sure saved me a lot of grief.
