A quick glance at the calendar shows me that November is nearly over. It’s always a busy month for me.
First, there are many birthdays to celebrate in November. I blame Valentine’s Day for that.
Second, my wedding anniversary is in November. Today, my wife and I celebrate our 44th.
Third, there’s preparing for and celebrating Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. It’s when my wife begins baking her holiday breads and pies that fill the house with aromas and let me know that Christmas is coming soon.
And fourth and finally, November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. Although I don’t participate in it, I have writer friends who do, so I make myself available to encourage them when they find themselves falling short of achieving their 50,000-word goal.
All of this takes time away from my own writing, as well as my art projects and this blog. I used to schedule my November blog posts in advance, but I always fell behind responding to my readers’ comments. This year, I have this weekend to respond to comments, then it’s back to flying in the whirlwind that’s November.
Thanks for joining me today for this quick look at my crazy November.
Until my next post, peace and love to every one of you.

Happy 44th anniversary and may you be blessed with many more 🥳. That is a milestone.

Thank you. Since there’s no traditional gift for our milestone, my wife and I chose to buy each other dinner at the restaurant where she managed when we married.

That is a lovely and memorable gift for both of you.

I attempted Nanowrimo one time. I need to write well, rather than churn words then waste my time editing the junk I created.

I agree, which is a major reason I don’t participate in NaNoWriMo. I spend a lot of time and thought in what I write.
