Preparing for winter has kept me busy for the past week, but I have finally been able to put together some collages of my favorite autumn photographs. It has been sunny and warm this week in northwest Pennsylvania, but also windy, so many of the deciduous trees are becoming bare by the minute.
Despite the bluster, sunny days in October make fall colors all the more beautiful. They’re the times I like taking my camera with me on my daily walks.
The photographs below are of a short stroll through my backyard, starting with the beginning of fall, some macro photos of my shed and a curious raccoon, then onward to the leaf fall when the gorgeous leaves carpet the grass to protect and nourish it when the snow finally falls.

Thanks for joining me today for this peek at autumn in my backyard.
Until my next post, peace and love to all.

Lovely photos. I though the drought we had in August would affect our colors in Ohio, but they’re peaking at their usual time and are as beautiful as ever.

Recently, winds from the northeast have stripped most of the colorful leaves from the trees here, and the cloudy days of yesterday and today have created a Halloween mood. The crunch of leaves underfoot and bare trees at night are two of the best props for spooky atmosphere.
